During this last year, our members have encountered great successes. To emphasize on the 9 years of the QFCC, our team selected and presented 9 successes accomplished by our talented members during the year. Congratulations to all of you!
- GT.W. INC
Guy Lafortune, Chairman of G.T.W. INC, engaged in three trade missions in Florida. During one of them, he met the new business center of the QFCC and decided to kindly offer a water cooler. Recently, the owner directly ordered him two filters: one for his offices in Tampa Bay, another one for his office in Manhattan, New York. This deal is therefore considered as his first sale in Florida.
- Jessica Weiss, Immigration Attorney
This year, Jessica has accomplished a visa E-2 case worth several millions of dollars of value with the U.S. Consulate in Toronto. This was a particularly complex case and is currently used as a credible example by the Consulate itself.
- Santé Naturelle Adrien Gagnon
In order to make a significant impact on the American market, Adrien Gagnon employed a strategy very much distinct from the trade norms in Quebec. Instead of targeting the pharmacies, the firm chose to focus on the “mom and pop shops” as well as the chains of natural health stores.
To raise the interest of the targeted distributors, the team decided to initially generate the interest of the retailers. Daniel Roy, CEO of Adrien Gagnon, participated to one of the QFCC missions, where he had the opportunity to meet several stores by distributing samples in addition to present strategically targeted product placements. In just a year, Adrien Gagnon has established and currently possesses about thirty sales outlets.
- Graph Synergy
Although multiple deals already completed in the U.S., Graph Synergy had not yet implemented its strategy in Florida. However, thanks to their recent involvement in activities offered by the QFCC as well as several trade missions, they were able to conclude their first deal, this year, in Florida. Their client was Brightline, the new suburban train connecting Miami to Palm Beach. Additionally, they established their first branch based in Florida, opened their office and henceforth have a field development agent.
- Nata PR
Nata PR, a firm specialized in public relations, was able to connect with MENEAU, a French brand that wishes to implement itself in Florida, and signed their first contract. This accomplishment was partly due to the efforts of the QFCC and the introduction of its expert member, XPAND Group. MENEAU chose to work with NATA PR in order to develop an effective communication strategy for Miami’s market. Congratulation NATA for your first client in Florida!
QuestWorkspaces is one of the QFCC’s great partners. 2018 can surely be considered to them as a year of growth. Indeed, they established a center of more than 30,000 square feet, in addition to two new plants: one in Tampa Bay, another one in New York City, which increases the number of owned offices to 11. They also have been elected Best Place to Work at the national scale by Inc 5000, as well as locally by the South Florida Business Journal.
- Benoit & Côté
The law firm BENOÎT & CÔTÉ, specialized in Intellectual Property, is proud to announce its entry in the IPPractice TOP 50 for the its remarkable number of commercial trademarks in Canada for the year of 2017.
- Club Piscine
Club Piscine, also known as Pool & Patio Depot in Florida, is currently opening a second store in the Palm Beach County, Florida. Following its success in Pompano Beach as sole distributor of the brand JACCUZI, the new store will open its gates during the mid-June of 2018.
- Martel & Martel
The Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du Travail (CNESST) – which mission is to recognize the steps and the projects established by the employers and the workers for the prevention of workplace accidents as well as occupational diseases -, awarded Martel & Martel Commercial and Collective Insurance with the Grand Prix santé et sécurité du travail Innovation PME for its ambitious work life program.
