TRADE MISSION TO FLORIDA TO WIDEN QUEBEC BUSINESS MARKETS

Montreal, January 21st 2010 – Trade of 2.3 billion dollars between Quebec and Florida, that’s what the Québec-Florida Chamber of Commerce wants to exploit by organising a trade mission to Florida from February 23 to 26. Committed for the agri-food, construction & building, environment and technology sectors, this event aims to guide entrepreneurs seeking to develop or strengthen ties with Florida’s market.

About ten companies in Quebec have already decided to take part in this mission to forge business affiliations with key stakeholders to support their business activities in Florida. "Florida represents for our companies an incredible business potential. This mission will enable Quebec companies to take advantage of business opportunities in Florida ", said Marcel Racicot, president of the CCQF. Some places are still available for business people wishing to enter that market.

Moreover, the CCQF is proud to announce the support of its main partner, the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export, and of several associates as the Quebec General Delegation in Atlanta, the Canadian Consulate in Miami, Aventura Marketing Council, Enterprise Florida, the Greater Miami Chamber of commerce and Palm Beach Business Development Board.  It is thanks to the support of those organizations that Quebec companies have the opportunity to discover the Florida market.
