Marie-Claude Pethel, Demers Beaulne
Marie-Claude Péthel has over fifteen years experience in accounting firms. She specializes in US taxation for Canadian corporations doing business in the United States as well as for expatriates. She has the following expertise: U.S. corporate tax planning, U.S. individual tax planning, Tax planning with respect to the U.S. estate tax for Canadians owning U.S. property and Tax planning for U.S. citizens living in Canada.
Upon her arrival at Demers Beaulne in 1999, Mrs. Péthel put in place the firm’s U.S. tax practice and actively continues to contribute to its development. The U.S. tax team is currently composed of seven U.S. tax specialists. Mrs. Péthel regularly acts as a speaker for various organizations and contributes to various business groups related to exports.
Marcel Racicot, Racicot & Associés
Me Marcel Racicot is the principal associate of Racicot & Associates. He is a Quebec and Ontario lawyer and has a master in taxation. He has been practicing law for over twenty five years in all aspects of commercial law, business immigration, corporate tax and estate planning, with a particular emphasis on cross border tax and estate planning, immigration trusts and international tax structures in the US, Barbados and Europe. He is also very involved in the business community, both in Quebec and in Floride. He is the founder and President of the Quebec-Florida Chamber of Commerce.

William Berger, Greenspoon Marder
William Berger is a senior partner in the law firm of Greenspoon Marder, P.A. He presently co-chairs the firm’s litigation department and is instrumental in the firm’s marketing growth and development. Mr. Berger joined Greenspoon Marder, P.A. in September of 1995 and became a named partner in December of that same year. He is also counsel to the New York law firm of David Howe, P.A. Mr. Berger was born in New York City, New York in 1944, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Buffalo in 1965 and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1970.
Marvin Boisvert - Living and Investing in Florida
Marvin Boisvert is an experienced entrepreneur in the marketing and communication fields. Over the years, he successfully launched Pay TV magazine called "Feature" with over 650,00 subscribers and its french version called "Primeurs" with over 250 000 subscribers. He now publishes a magazine called "Living & Investing in Florida". This publication is published twice a year; one edition in the spring and another in the fall. It is distributed in the National Post Newspaper to home subscribers in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Its editorial content features articles to educate Canadians on investing in Florida. It discusses legal and financial differences between Canadian and American investing rules.
Stéphane L'Écuyer, Tremblay L'Écuyer, Architectes
Stéphane L'Écuyer is the co-founder of Tremblay L'Écuyer Architects (TLA). He decided to unite with Mr Tremblay in 1997 to bring their expertise and passion to the design and redevelopment of properties, as well as the enhancement of corporate culture through architecture. They are very active in Quebec and now, they started a branch in Florida where they are very active.
Daniel Veilleux, Desjardins Bank
Mr. Daniel Veilleux assumes the functions of President and Chief Financial Officer at Desjardins Bank in Florida. At this position since February 2010, he has the responsibility to improve the services at Desjardins Bank in regards to the needs of the members of the Networks of Caisses Desjardins, in order to offer a wide range of products and services, and to comply with the different US regulations. Mr. Veilleux has been employed at the Mouvement Desjardins for 22 years now and held the function of General Director for 12 years before his recent appointment.
He has been the President of the Local Development of Argenteuil Center, President of the Sector of Centraide Laurentides, Vice-President of the Argenteuil Hospital Foundation, Administrator of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Argenteuil as well as the Commercial Development Company of Lachute.
